Right around 3 p.m. ET, the Internet suddenly ignited with news guaranteed to cut through the hue and cry of Black Friday: Tiger Woods has been in a car accident! Any time a celebrity's name is mentioned in connection with an automobile wreck, there's prurient interest, so the story was guaranteed to blow up.
