As I've suggested, even though Lorena Ochoa didn't put herself in the mix on her birthday this past Sunday, she still kept her hopes alive for her 4th consecutive Player of the Year award and Vare Trophy. That Wie was able to beat her on her home course, along with Kerr, Shin, and Miyazato, defnitely speaks to how impressive a spoiler she was. The 4th rookie to win this season, Wie could join Shin in the Million Dollar Club with a good finish in Houston this week. From the pictures on the club site, my guess is that Jones tried to compensate for the flatness of the land by creating lots of undulations in the fairways and elevating lots of greens.
