Cal fans boo Tiger Woods at Stanford game

It's not exactly Philly fans booing Santa Claus, but Cal fans
surprised Tiger Woods with a hail of boos on Saturday night. At
halftime of the Big Game, Woods spoke to the crowd after being inducted
into the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame. Even though the game was
played at Stanford, enough Cal fans were in the stands to rattle Woods
just a little. You can watch it here:
Of course, Woods recovered from his momentary surprise and delivered
the rest of his speech smoothly. Stanford wasn't so lucky, losing to the
Golden Bears 34-28.

Normally, I despise Cal fans. They think they're so smart out there in Berkeley. But, guess what? They're the ones going to school near Oakland. Idiots.
Their football stadium is old, crappy, and foggy. Their fans somehow believe that the Pac 10 is a superior athletic conference when they routinely get pasted in every sport. Maryland embarrassed them in basketball last year (and we would happily do it again this year).
Cal fans are so self-loathing that they have to project their hatred on others, including world number one Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods was inducted into the Stanford Sports Hall of Fame this past weekend and during his 20 second speech at halftime of the football game, he was booed. The announcers in the video attribute the booing to the Cal fans in attendance, but I don't know. I'm not trying to stir up anything - I'm just saying it's a good deal of booing to be the away team. Of course- the away team in this case HATES Stanford and is just across town. Plus we don't know where the ambiance mics are places, but it's clear Tiger hears the boos and is thrown off. Beyond the booing crap... I like Tiger doing stuff like this. Anything he does where he's a little more "real" and ...

Tiger Woods returned to Stanford University, his alma mater, on Saturday night to be inducted into Stanford's athletic Hall of Fame at halftime of the Stanford-Cal game. Tiger is accustomed to entire continents paying homage to him, so when a crowd of rowdy Cal students decided to boo the Great One, he was visibly flustered. (Especially with Stevie Williams nowhere nearby to defend him.)
