> > Tiger Woods threw a temper tantrum (surprise!) in the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship. As Jason Sobel reported:
Almost immediately after impact, he spiked the driver toward the ground, releasing the grip and letting it fly into what can only be described as a dry wetlands area about 10 yards in front of the tee box.
The telecast didn’t get it, but one fan caught it on camera. Look closely to the right side of the tee box at about the 3 second mark. Thanks, reader Chris, for passing it along. ...

See Tiger Do His Best Tommy Bolt Impersonation

[image] 18th tee, water hazard in front. Sound familiar? Okay he didn't launch into the premediated, full driver eradication like Bolt at Cherry Hills , but you have to love watching Stevie going into the wetlands to retrieve his man's club. Jason Sobel , who was there, writes : In a career filled not only with victories, fame and fortune, but also grandiose outbursts and expletive-filled self-indulgences, Tiger suffered an epic meltdown at one point Friday. Steve Elling was also present and offers his thoughts along with this analysis of the video: Notice how Woods never broke stride as he walked past Williams as the latter retrieved ...

Steve Williams Looks For Tiger’s Thrown Driver
Golf Blogger —
September 6, 2009 It wasn’t caught on network, but a bystander caught video of Steve Williams looking for Tiger’s driver after he tossed it and it landed in a Marsh. My first golf instructor taught me that you never, ever throw a club. Aside from the unseemly nature of the business, someone could really get hurt. Can you imagine the size of the lawsuit if he had hit someone?
Tiger Woods Tantrum Captured on Video!
Intothegrain.com —
I was browsing the web and messing around when I came across this video on J Schil’s Blog:
Tiger’s temper isn’t unlike many weekend hacks who play the game, with the exception that he has cameras on him at all times. He seems to drop the occasional F bomb with cameras rolling as well. I have played in front of cameras and crowds before, and personally my attitude changes quite a bit when I’m around people that don’t know me. It makes me wonder how much the pressure of closing in on Jack’s major record and Snead’s PGA Tour wins record is getting to ...
Temper, temper: Tiger Woods slings his club into the bushes
Devil Ball Golf - Golf - Yahoo! Sports —
This is why it's a good idea to always keep your temper, particularly if you're one of the most famous athletes on the planet: during the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship, a fan caught Tiger Woods hitting an errant tee shot, then slinging his club into the nearby brush. Watch closely here; the action happens in the first five seconds: Tiger then storms away, leaving his caddy Stevie Williams to search for the lost club. Tiger's temper has been all over the news lately, and while some of the criticism is just nitpicking -- seriously, who cares if he thumps the turf with a club once in awhile after a bad ...

I'm off to Chicago this week for the BMW, so I can get a firsthand look at the new Cog Hill and hopefully pick up a new driver… unless Stevie wins the footrace.
"Regarding Tiger's club-throwing incident on Friday, do you think he's tired (as he said) or tired of missing putts (as Brandel Chamblee said)? I tend to agree with Brandel -- how in the world can Tiger be tired? He's the fittest guy out there."
The fatigue isn't physical, it's mental. Tiger has to put up with so much during a tournament week -- endless media prying, swarming fans, ...
YouTube Golf Video - Tiger Woods shows off his club throwing skills at the Barclays Classic
Golfblogger: Latest News Feed —
Official World Golf Ranking #1 Tiger Woods shows off his club throwing skills at the 2009 PGA Tour Barclays Classic event. What amazes me is that he continually gets away with it, with the PGA Tour and the R at the British Open turning a blind eye to such unacceptable behaviour. If it was any other player, such as John Daly, they would have been set an example! The Ed.

Oczywiście, że tak – teoretycznie, no powiedzmy…w praktyce. Chociaż stan umysłu i kontrola emocji to jeden z fundamentów dobrej gry, to nerwy puszczają nawet najlepszym.
Ponieważ świat go kocha, wybacza mu rzucanie kijami i inne tego przypadku. Jest jeszcze inna kwestia: Woodsa do pewnego momentu auto-agresja napędza i poprawia jego koncentrację, chociaż tegoroczne British Open pokazało, że jest gdzieś cienka ...
Top excuses for Tiger Woods on Crash-gate

Sure it’s being called ‘Tiger-gate’ but we prefer ‘Crash-gate’ because it all started with the most significant 5mph crash in history.
As the world holds its collective breath for Tiger to speak (you should really exhale, it’s not happening anytime soon Update: hey look he speaketh!) we here at NiceBallz have gone deep into the underbelly of the Woods saga to make up uncover a document that gives insight into what the Woods camp may be planning in the way of excuse-making for the late night crash.
